October 25, 2024, the United Community Education Foundation (UCEF) made history as the first organization to introduce breast cancer screening at AdMA Junior High School. In partnership with health professionals from the Adjiringanor Health Center, students were offered a unique opportunity to receive breast examinations and learn from experts in a safe, supportive environment.
This impactful initiative aimed to empower young lives through education and preventive care, emphasizing the importance of early detection. Students were educated on the signs, symptoms, causes, and prevention of breast cancer. They also received practical guidance on how to perform self-breast examinations, promoting regular self-checks as a proactive health measure.
The event reached over 100 students both male and female and fostered a highly interactive learning atmosphere. Students asked thoughtful questions, demonstrating genuine curiosity and engagement. The session proved to be both educational and transformative, reaffirming UCEF’s commitment to health education and youth empowerment.
